You should be familiar with the political titles below (difference between GB/USA).

Have a look at the link "What is a..." and ask each other in pairs. "What is a.....?" Learn names of occupations in English. Sometimes that is a part of the "listening test" (National test).

Statsminister = Prime minister

USA:
The President (Barack Obama, Democrats)
Secretary of State (John Kerry)
Secretary of the Treasury (Jack Lew)

Britain:
Prime Minister (David Cameron, The Conservatives)
Secretary of state OR more commonly "Foreign secretary" (Philip Hammond)
Chancellor of the Exchequer (George Osborn)
Occupations
What is a.....? (Different occupations)
What will be your occupation in the future?

(if you only had time to read two texts...that's ok)

Also, pick out 10 words from the texts you read. Words which you are not familiar with. Look them up in a dictionary and let me know in your mail:

Which 10 Words did you pick and give me a definition of the words (in English).

An example:

1. pragmatic - when you are pragmatic you deal with problems that exist in a specific situation in a reasonable and logical way instead of depending on ideas and theories.

2. biweekly - when something happens twice a week
